A new transplant to New Orleans, I have been designing bags, backpacks and luggage for about 7 years for the outdoor and electronics industries as a freelance industrial designer. It is always a struggle to introduce color & fun patterns into mass-produced items due to cost and opinions, so, I decided to start moonlighting in the fresh new world of handmade! Now that I’m making these laptop mitts, my only limitations are what fabric my neighbor decides to sell at her yard sale, or what the Green Project down the street here in New Orleans has to offer.

With the exception of Sina Loa Tomato, none of my printed fabrics are virgin materials – they have all been purchased from antique shops, second hand stores, yard sales or from material recycling shops. This adds to the unique character of the mitt, while also upping their green and local points. The foam padding used on the inside of the mitts (adding extra protection for your laptop) is pre-used when possible, however occasionally when sources dry up or supplies run low, I need to supplement with the store-bought stuff.

My extensive knowledge of bag design combined with my sensitivities for quality, one-of-a-kind style, and treading lightly on this planet all combine to deliver a great product to you (or your loved one). I hope you (or he/she) love it!
